COMT is structured in 10 discrete Research Units, some of which are mainly composed of clinicians and strongly contribute with more clinically oriented translational research. Research Units constituting COMT are located with the University Campus and in the Parma University Hospital area and are composed of full members of the Centre who must be permanently employed faculty or staff technician of the University of Parma. They may also have affiliated satellite subunits composed of researchers not associated with the University of Parma. The Heads of the Units are responsible for the research and technology transfer activities undertaken by the teams that they are directing. The Board of Directors is assisted in its decision making and strategic planning of the research activities by a panel of renown clinical and experimental oncologists forming the Scientific Committee.
