The Research Unit focuses its activities on the identification of novel biomarkers, the elucidation of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of tumour progression, with specific emphasis on metastasis formation and the design and pre-clinical testing of novel therapeutic agents. Cancer types of interest include, melanoma, soft-tissue sarcomas, breast and colon carcinomas, brain malignancies and head and neck tumours.
